‘Ryan Reynolds Ripped in R.I.P.D.‘. That’s a headline you’re likely to see a lot in 2012. Reynolds has signed on to the film R.I.P.D., in which he’ll play Nick Cruz, a cop who was recently murdered. He joins the Rest in Peace Department for 100 years in exchange for the chance to find his killer and avenge his death. He’ll eventually literally go to Hell to find him. Jeff Bridges R.I.P.D. Co-starring with Reynolds is Oscar winner Jeff Bridges. Bridges, in a role Zack Galifianakis was attached to before he backed out of the film, will play Roy who has been involved with the R.I.P.D. since the 1800′s. It will give Bridges another chance to play a Western lawman as he did so well in True Grit. R.I.P.D. Ryan Reynolds cover R.I.P.D. is based on the Dark Horse Comic of the same name. This continues a string of comic films for Ryan Reynolds which include Blade: Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Green Lantern. Reynolds may also be reprising his role from Wolverine when the long in development Deadpool spin-off finally hits the big screen.
