Entertainment Weekly just revealed the season 2 poster for Game of Thrones. If you’ve read the acclaimed novels by author George R. R. Martin, then you’ll understand the significance of the hand grasping the crown.
“For when kings clash, the whole land trembles.”
The second novel in the Song of Ice & Fire is titled, Clash of Kings, and is about the continued struggle for the Iron Throne. Now that Robert Baratheon is dead, everyone will battle it out for the crown of Westeros.
The season 2 premiere will air on HBO on April 1, 2012 at 9PM. The season 1 box set arrives in stores next Tuesday.
