If you’ve seen the movie Win A Date With Tad Hamilton then I’m sure you know where my imagination is going in this post. It’s a fairytale come true for most of us – the celebrity we adore decides to swoop down from their high and fast life and take us on our dream date (followed by falling madly in love with us, deciding they can’t live without us and moving to our town to be with us always. Swoon).
But for ‘Emma Becker’ this fairytale has come true (albeit slightly different, as Ethan isn’t a celebrity – but who’s looking?). Her knight in shining armour; her prince Ethan, has arrived. With his chiseled jaw, soulful brown eyes and delicious body, Ethan Whitehorse is the man every one of us would happily have as our date for Valentine’s. Let me share with you my Top 5 reasons I’ve dubbed Ethan as “The perfect date”.
He’s a shoulder to cry on. |
Whenever Emma needs him, he’s there, no questions asked. Even at the beginning when he knew something was off about ‘Sutton’, he kept her secret and was there for her after she confided in him. Sensitive? Check. We shall keep him.
He plans the perfect date. |
A candlelit dinner, made even more perfect with a kiss. Can this man do no wrong?
He can dance. |
Any man that can sweep you around a dance floor, then lift you up over his head and slide you down his chest is a definite keeper. Can we ever forget him teaching Emma to dance in 1.02 ‘Being Sutton’? I think not.
He’s a wonderful kisser. |
I might be being presumptuous, but from the looks of things Emma is enjoying herself. I think it’s safe to say Ethan is a wondrous kisser; and that’s always a bonus, isn’t it?
He chooses a public place to profess his love. |
The homecoming dance in 1.05 ‘Over Exposed’. Glittery lights, stunning dresses, crisp tuxes. It was the most glorious place and time for Ethan to profess his love for Emma – knowing full well what the repercussions would be. That makes him number one on my list.

What do you think TLG lovers? What else do you love about Ethan?
