The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle return this Thursday with all-new exciting episodes! The CW has released a new promotional video, and they’ve included shots from Vampire Diaries episode 3.19 ‘Heart of Darkness’ and 3.20 ‘Do Not Go Gentle’ as well as The Secret Circle episode 3.19 ‘Crystal’. TVD and TSC lovers, this will be a Thursday night you won’t want to miss.

“The Vampire Diaries” episode 3.19 ‘Heart of Darkness’ has Tyler returning to Mystic Falls, but with Klaus around things are strained between himself and Caroline. Elena and Damon take a road-trip to visit Jeremy in Denver and to see if he can contact Rose (guest star Lauren Cohan) and ask about the ancient bloodlines tying everyone together. But it isn’t long before they realise he’s been hanging out with a very bad crowd – and a certain bad boy Original is involved. Meanwhile Stefan and Klaus are willing to go to brutal extremes in their search for the missing white oak weapon, and Matt tries to distract Rebekah with plans for the school’s upcoming 1920s Decade Dance.
Then directly after TVD, “The Secret Circle” airs an all-new episode titled ‘Crystal’. In an effort to protect themselves from witch hunters, Jake, Cassie and Faye seek out Jake’s grandfather Royce (guest star John de Lancie) to find his family’s crystal. The search leads to a confrontation with disturbing theories about the events that occurred 16 years ago. Meanwhile, Diana tries to juggle pursuing the Glaser crystal with Melissa and Adam and her romantic life with Grant, who knows she’s hiding something. Callum (guest star Michael Graziadei) tries to re-insert himself into Melissa’s life, and Charles and Jane plot their move against Blackwell.
Then on April 26 “The Vampire Diaries” airs episode 3.20 ‘Do Not Go Gentle’, where Alaric finds an unexpected ally to guide him on his dangerous new path, and Damon and Meredith muddle over what to do next. At the 1920s Decade Dance, Bonnie asks Jamie to be her date and after Caroline prods a little, Elena asks Stefan to be her date. Tyler makes a dramatic move to sweep Caroline off her feet, but Klaus has the same idea. The dance takes a deadly turn when Damon and Stefan realise they need Matt, Jeremy and Bonnie’s help to undo a fateful spell.

McQueen as ‘Jeremy Gilbert, Zach Roerig as ‘Matt Donovan’ and Candice Accola as ‘Caroline Forbes’.
‘Heart of Darkness’ was written by Chris Grismer and directed by Brian Young and Evan Bleiweiss, while ‘Do Not Go Gentle’ was written by Michael Narducci and directed by Josh Butler.
The Secret Circle stars Chris Zylka as Jake, Britt Robertson as Cassie, Phoebe Tonkin as Faye, Shelley Hennig as Diana, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Melissa, Thomas Dekker as Adam and Gale Harold as Charles.
