Charles Michael Davis Interview at THE ORIGINALS 2013
Charles Michael Davis Laughs & Cries As He Talks Fan Experiences, “The Originals” & More At Comic-Con 2013!
Charles Michael Davis could be dubbed the doppelgänger of his character, as the man behind the King of New Orleans radiates honesty, kindness and charm – a stark contrast to devilishly vicious “Marcel.” But the one thing they do share in common is their vision for Vampire Diaries’ spin-off series The Originals, as both want the tale of these vampires to be a success. Davis joined other cast members Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt and Phoebe Tonkin with executive producer and creator Julie Plec at this year’s Comic-Con for a panel Q&A moderated by TV Guide Magazine.
We had a chat with Davis about The Originals and what he knows about the spin-off thus far. Even though he has only read episode 1 and 2, he wanted “to be on a show with a built-in audience and a great cast and crew from executive producer on down.” Davis told fans during the panel how much he loves The Vampire Diaries and what a wonderful opportunity joining the spin-off was for him, and during the interview he revealed more about Marcel what what we will find out about the cocky confident vampire dominating in New Orleans. Talking his cast mates, Davis says, “Everyone is very confident and has their sexy badge on.”
