SALEM SEES A SECOND DEATH SINCE INCREASE’S ARRIVAL IN A NEW EPISODE OF WGN AMERICA’S “SALEM”

WGN America released the official synopsis and still images for Salem‘s newest episode “Children, Be Afraid.” Episode 1×09 was written by Liz Sarnoff and Tricia Small and directed by David Grossman and sees George start to break free from Mary’s control. Meanwhile, Increase reminds everyone why he is a force to be reckoned with.

Official Synopsis:

“Children, Be Afraid” –  Salem sees a second death since Increase’s (Stephen Lang of “Avatar”) arrival in town, and Mary struggles to get George back under her control.  Mercy and her acolytes flex their growing power while Increase grows closer with Isaac, putting Isaac’s loyalty to Mary in question.

“Salem” stars Janet Montgomery as Mary Sibley, Shane West as John Alden, Seth Gabel as Cotton Mather, Xander Berkeley as Magistrate Hale, Ashley Madekwe as Tituba, Tamzin Merchant as Anne Hale, Elise Eberle as Mercy Lewis and Iddo Goldberg as Isaac Walton. In addition to Lang, guest starring are Morgana Shaw as Mab, Dane Rhodes (“True Detective”) as Henry Hopkins, Sammi Hanratty (“Chosen”) as Dollie, Lucy Faust as Elizabeth, Mary Catherine O’Donnell as Emily and Ben Mouton as Lamb.

“Salem” is co-created and written by Brannon Braga and Adam Simon, who serve as executive producers alongside Jeff Kwatinetz and Josh Barry of Prospect Park and David Von Ancken.  The series is produced by Fox 21.
