The White Queen with LogoStarz’ The White Queen Is Now Available on YouTube

This past weekend Starz’ newest series, The White Queen, premiered. This series was first aired earlier this summer in the UK, and now is being shown for American audiences. Produced by the BBC, the series is adapted from author Philippa Gregory’s The Cousin’s War series. The television show chronicles England’s War of the Roses, a time when the ruling family was divided between Lancasters and Yorks, which in turn divided a nation that plunged England into war.

The first episode begins in 1463 when Yorkist King Edward IV falls in love with a Lancastrian commoner named Elizabeth Woodville. Filled with lust the two marry in secret making Elizabeth the new Queen of England. While this is a great opportunity for Elizabeth and her family to rise above their station, there are two women who vow to take her down. Both who have the power to try and claim the throne for their own ends. While you can now view the first episode on YouTube the remaining episodes will air on Starz on Saturdays at 9pm ET/PT.
