The Rules of Roulette
Roulette is one of the most popular games in the casino today, and it doesn’t matter if you play on Joinsini or at a traditional casino – the rules are the same. It’s an easy game to play and to understand, but do make sure you have a thorough understanding of the rules and bets before you decide to take part.
There are rules and etiquette that you must follow and adhere to.
In roulette or if you prefer online roulette, unlike most casino games, you do not play against other patrons. although a table will usually sit up to eight players, you are betting against the dealer at all times.
Your chips will be a different color from every other player’s to avoid confusion and when you are finished playing, should be cashed in at the table – they won’t be accepted at the cage.
Your bet(s) should be placed before the croupier calls ‘no more bets’, usually before the wheel is set in motion. After this, any attempts to remove or even touch your chip(s) are not allowed and you cannot change your bet. If another player has his chips on the square you want to bet on, placing your chips on top is acceptable (they are always different colors).
There are many books and websites that claim to teach an ‘unbeatable’ strategy for roulette, saying that if you use them, you will win big, beat the house edge, and become a millionaire overnight. The truth is, roulette relies on chance and it is nigh on impossible to accurately predict where the ball will fall.
Before wheels were regularly checked for balance, it was possible, even probable that you could make this kind of prediction, but casinos quickly got wise to it. Don’t be taken in. Online wheels don’t go out of balance anyway!
